Two paintings, original visual observations and an excerpt from Théodore Duret’s art criticism.

Organize observations

Group each painter’s visual emphasis around the comparison question.

Check and continue

Read the source passage, review the interpretation and add source-linked cards.

Sources and distinctions

The comparison notes describe Monet’s emphasis on water and light, and Renoir’s emphasis on people under the trees. They are the demonstration’s observations, not quotations from Duret about these two paintings.

Method: this was an earlier Bridge task-package workflow. An external assistant prepared structured notes for import, followed by source checks and manual adjustments. It is not an end-to-end recording of the current MarginNote CLI.
